Tony DiSanto & Financier Matthew J. Bruderman Launch Allyance Media Group
— DIGA Studios to Become Part of Allyance Media Group —
NEW YORK, NY (September 10, 2018) – Producer Tony DiSanto, responsible for such hit shows as The Hills, Laguna Beach and Jersey Shore, and financier Matthew J. Bruderman, Chairman of Bruderman & Company, today announced the launch of Allyance Media Group, Inc., a platform-agnostic and multi-format media company focused on creating, developing and producing scripted, unscripted and branded content, as well as other forms of intellectual property across multiple platforms, including television, film, digital and books. The company will initially maintain offices in New York and Los Angeles.
As part of Allyance Media Group’s launch, DiSanto is contributing his full service production company, DIGA Studios to the venture. DIGA Studios, formerly part of ITV, is responsible for such hits as Teen Wolf and Scream, among others, and the soon-to-be-released feature film Eat Brains Love, and will continue its track record of producing commercially successful content and operate as a standalone division. In 2017, DiSanto, with Bruderman’s assistance, reacquired the equity interests in DIGA formerly held by ITV in an amicable split. DIGA’s talented key staff members, including Tony’s chief lieutenant, General Manager Tommy Coriale, will remain with the company.
Allyance Media Group intends to announce executive appointments, including new additions to its Board of Directors and Advisory Board, in the coming weeks. Its executive team is already in advanced negotiations on several acquisitions that will add talent and creative diversity to the organization, aggregating a broad base of entertainment and media expertise under one roof.
DiSanto’s and Bruderman’s unique partnership will leverage their respective creative and business skills. DiSanto will retain complete creative control, and Bruderman’s proven management skills will provide the company with important and complementary synergies in such areas as financial oversight, business development and access to capital.
“Allyance Media Group was founded with the intention of bringing key, complementary creative talent together in a ‘Dream Team’ of sorts, supporting the growth of their core businesses while also enabling expansion into new arenas through strategic partnerships within the group,” said Tony DiSanto, Founder and CEO of DIGA Studios and CEO of Allyance Media Group. “Matt Bruderman and I have a long-standing relationship, and I know that with his business experience, expertise and strategic vision backing up our significant content development capabilities, we will be able to broaden, expand and deepen our creative focus, execution capabilities and distribution.”
“I’ve known Tony for over 30 years, and there is no better person to bet on when it comes to content creation” said Matthew J. Bruderman, CEO of Bruderman & Company. “I have admired his work professionally from afar throughout his storied career and I am very excited to be able to invest in him, support him, and work with him. The formation of Allyance Media Group is the start of what we anticipate will be an aggressive growth strategy to aggregate amazing content makers in a differentiated way. Tony has amazing relationships and is a creative genius, so I am excited to provide him with the full support of the Bruderman infrastructure to create the next generation of hit television, features films, long form or short form projects, and anything else he thinks will resonate with viewers.”
Matthew J. Bruderman and the Bruderman team have already made an impact in the media sector this year providing support for Unbanned: The Legend of AJ1, a feature documentary film about the Nike Air Jordan 1 sneaker, written and directed by Dexton Deboree. Bruderman received a Co-Executive producer credit as well.
Allyance Media Group intends to release announcements regarding upcoming projects, as well as future acquisitions, in the coming weeks.
