Diga Studios has hired veteran development executive and producer Nick Rigg as head of unscripted, the company said today.
“Nick is an incredibly talented creative executive and producer, with great vision and expertise across a wide spectrum of unscripted content,” DIGA Studios General Manager Tommy Coriale said in a statement. “He will be an invaluable asset in helping Diga Studios grow and broaden the scope of our unscripted output, and I am thrilled to have him on our team.”
Diga Studios recently was acquired by Allyance Media Group.
Tony DiSanto, CEO of Allyance and DIGA Studios, added about the new hire, “Nick Rigg is a strategic, thoughtful and seasoned executive with a clear and infectious passion for making great content.”
He added that Rigg’s expertise “will elevate DIGA Studios, the cornerstone of the Allyance Media Group, and I couldn’t be more excited to hand him the keys to the Unscripted division and jump in for the ride.”
Before joining Diga, Rigg served as president of Loud TV, the production company that’s part of ITV America. In his previous role, he co-produced Double Take with John Cena for Facebook Watch, the docuseries Girls Incarcerated on Netflix and Tiny House Nation on FYI and A&E.
Prior to Loud TV, Rigg worked as president of Leopard Films USA, where he produced more than 200 hours of reality TV a year, including House Hunters International.
Rigg will be based in New York, reporting to DiSanto and Coriale.
